I met Ren online back in 2005.

I assumed myself delusional because how could I seriously be talking to one of the members of my favorite bands? Apparently this guy had never heard of the invisible role wall between audience/fan and performer/band. I grew up with bands like Tool where the distance between fans and the band itself is clear and even a defining characteristic of their music. I expected to never in my life meet a band in any part unless I was apart of its inception, ha-ha yeah-right... but yeah. Then I met Ren.

Of the various things Ren does, or did, or will do, I think a major important factoid we should all be familiar with is that he supports mp3 sharing. A few years ago, this was rare, and yet he sent me a copy of Sheavy's newest album at the time. I didn't even have a blog back then. Crazy... but totally awesome. Yesterday one of their demos made it to the Swamp courtesy ol' Ren. Still awesome, that guy.

In short, thanks for being (Friggin') awesome, Ren. Here's your songs.

Also, when you found oblivion, did it look like this?

eneneneenn, that video... i totally saw that when i was a kid. do you watch these wasted? is that a stupid question? no wait, was THAT a stupid question?

and nah, no privacy features over here. i just have to approve comments before they post, so there's a delay. i doubt anyone's paying attention, and if they are i'd probably know it.

i'd put those messages on display. you could print them out on a shirt and wear it around with your chest out, like you just won the internet or something... yeah. i'm tired.

haha.
them there special messages be buried in an inbox. deep deep down.
i dunno maybe they dissapear when an account is deleted. jeeesh i should check.
they were mostly just polite thank yous to my (more than likely loser sounding) compliments on her singing...

...and actually. i've no way to know for sure if it was maynard who sent his message... hmmmm. although all his web stuff is written in the first person though. he's a nerd anyways. hahah

and as for oblivion, it sounds very quite and medium paced. definitely no drumming. hahaha. keyboard click once every second. brian goes faster than hands and fingers.
yeah livejournal yeah. jeeesh. thats so old school blaggun now huh?
and...
i for some reason thought this was private until i posted the other message there. whatever mang. whatever.

i couldn't remember how the "meeting" went, other than it was because of lj (had sheavy listed as favorite music there but we were also both friends with someone else). i have a bunch of old stuff saved and might be able to find that kind of stuff out, but that sounded like way too much work for a little entry...

heh, your aim? you mean that vid with you throwing shit at the camera? neeeeeeeat. i'm jealous.

what are these milla messages?!

and yes. you're totally welcome for the new stalkers. best early birthday present, ever.

i'll have to put a bug in their eye...
and as i'm sure yer well aware, i mean - sheavy were hardly ever close to pro like tool or whatever. i mean c'mon right? didnt i send you a message first cause of yer music posts and also cause ya had sheavy in yer faves on myspace or some shit. i cant even remember.
