I decided to make a more "summery" post in addition to the last one. Here are some insanely happy songs to make up for the cave-like experiences otherwise.
CSS - "Let's Make Love And Listen To Death From Above"
If you've never heard CSS before, you're missing out on some extremely annoying ESL electronic.
Slo Burn - "Pilot the Dune"
I don't have a clue what he's saying, but I'm sure it isn't necessarily the most positive thing in the world. Still, this song is terribly upbeat.
The Atomic Bitchwax - "Hey Alright"
This song is too easy to make fun of. You can probably think of some nice little lyrics for yourself.
Eagles of Death metal - "I Want You So Hard"
Duh.
Masters of Reality - "Off to Tiki Ti"
There are no words to explain the horror one experiences hearing this song for the first time.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs - "Date With The Night"
If you don't like this band, this song will make/break that feeling for ya.
The Cure - "Why Can't I Be You?"
Wow. Just, wow.
Scissor Sisters - "Music is the Victim"
This band doesn't fit this blog at all... and yet their first album was great and worth mentioning. And the makings for perfect material for this post.
Placebo - "Days Before You Came"
...freezing cold and empty. This song isn't quite "happy", but is nevertheless very upbeat and positive in sound. Great fan video, here.
Hot Hot Heat - "Talk to Me, Dance with Me"
This is the point we begin thoughts of suicide.
MSTRKRFT - "Easy Love"
...
J Geils Band - "Freeze Frame"
You know you wanted more 80s pop in your life after Billy Joel...
Klaxons - "Atlantis to Interzone"
My ears, my poor ears.
Hall & Oates - "You Make My Dreams Come True"
Breathe in, breathe out... it will be over soon.
Death From Above 1979 - "Too Much Love"
I dare you to dance to this.
Behold... The Arctopus - "Canada"
Happy metal? Yes! Attention span required. I dare you to dance to this one, too.
